Boi Manaus

The event is performed at the end of October, and celebrates the anniversary of the city of Manaus, gathering thousands of participants in three consecutive days at the Umberto Calderaro Cultural Center of Manaus (Sambódromo), to dance the “boi-bumbá.” |
International Fair of Amazonia

Promoted annually by the Superintendence of the Free Trade Zone of Manaus (Suframa), the International Fair of Amazonia (FIAM) aims at promoting export strategies of products and at attracting foreign investors. |
Places to See
“Encontro das Águas” (the meeting of waters)

a natural phenomenon brought about by the joining of the dark waters of Rio Negro and the brown waters of Rio Solimões, which come together to form the Amazon River. For about 6 km the waters of both rivers run side by side without mixing. |
